How it works
Send estimates that answer the questions first.
- 1
Add your draft
Upload the PDF you’re about to send, a photo of a handwritten estimate, or paste the text.
- 2
See it the way a homeowner will
The same 31 checks homeowners run on quotes they receive — scope, payment, warranty, permits, timeline, materials.
- 3
Fix it and re-check
Work through the fix list, scan the updated version, and see exactly what changed and what’s still open.
What gets checked
31 checks, each one explained.
The AI reads the quote; ScopeGrade’s rules decide what’s present, what isn’t, and how much it matters for this kind of project. The same quote always gets the same result.

How we handle your files
Private by default.
Quotes contain names, addresses and prices. Here’s exactly what happens to yours.
- Checked before it’s openedWe identify files by their contents, not their name, and accept only PDFs and images. PDFs with scripts, attachments or launch actions are refused.
- Deleted within 24 hoursThe original file is deleted within 24 hours. An anonymous report is kept for 30 days so you can come back to it, unless you save it to an account.
- Photo location data removedPhotos are re-encoded, which strips GPS location and device details before analysis.
- What the AI seesThe quote’s text (or the page image for scans) goes to our AI provider (Anthropic, or Google as a backup) for analysis — never your file name, IP address or account details.
- Your report is yoursReports use unguessable links, visible only on your device or account. Share links are opt-in, expire after 30 days, and can be revoked.
ScopeGrade’s analysis is informational. It isn’t legal, financial or engineering advice, and a high score doesn’t mean a contractor is a good fit — it means the quote is complete and clear.
